Adolescence may feel like a long way off when your girl is eight, but with the marketing of makeup, fashion clothing, and other teen accoutrements to the eight-to-eleven-year-old set, girls are beset with teenage anxieties at younger and younger ages.
During this day retreat, we'll use humor, play, and group discussion to provide a forum for mothers and daughters to deepen and celebrate their bond. We'll provide ideas and tools to help mothers stay close to their daughters as they mature, easing the transition into adolescence.

Turn the page on negativity and start a new chapter in your life. Science has proven that people with positive outlooks live longer, healthier lives. This workshop is designed for anyone longing to be a "glass is half full" person. The class will focus on retraining your brain to think more positively and limiting negative "self talk", thereby improving not only outlook, but overall health. All participants will be encouraged to make changes in a gentle, non-judgemental way that honors their own life experiences and personal journey.
Meditation, group discussion, laughter, writing exercises, as well as weekly happiness homework will be some of the tools used to get you out of the rut of negative thinking. Have fun and change your life all at the same time!

This class is designed to teach basic mindfulness meditation with a focus on reducing stress, restoring a sense of inner calm and developing greater self-awareness. Each week, participants will learn about and practice mindfulness meditation as well alternative forms of meditation including guided, walking and standing meditations that can be incorporated to enhance daily living.

About the Workshop and Retreat
Love With Prayer & Chocolate is a unique spiritual retreat based on the bestselling book Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. The journey starts on Saturday evening, November 21, with a savory and mindful eating workshop and indulging in a delicious Italian feast in Baltimore's famous Little Italy. The goal of this workshop is to awaken the senses (especially the tastebuds), and to gain an awareness of how each of the senses can nurture our souls and enhance our lives.
Then join us on Sunday, November 22 for a fun-filled mindfulness journey at the secluded and restful Bon Secours Spiritual Center in Marriottsville, Maryland. You'll delve deep into meditation and prayer with instruction for both the beginner and the well practiced. You'll be treated to a feast of the eyes with peaceful Mudra Movement derived from classical Indian dance, and, yes, you'll be encouraged to participate! The final destination in this journey is one of self-acceptance and love.

Life is Beautiful is a rejuvenating retreat meant to guide participants in cleansing their minds and bodies of negativity and experiencing a “reawakening” to the world. You will be invited to see, smell, touch, taste, and hear your world as if for the first time; your senses newly awakened to the beauty around you. We will discuss what it means to live "mindfully", and you'll be invited to practice mindfulness as you savor the moments of enjoying a delicious healthy meal. We'll conclude the day with an exploration of what it means to experience deep joy and to live life to the fullest.

The retreat is geared toward women of all ages who find themselves in the role of caretaker, or for those simply better at taking care of everyone but themselves. This retreat will focus on reducing stress, restoring energy, finding balance, and the art of practicing extreme self care. Participants will have the option of a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.
Mommies Time Out:Revitalizing Body, Mind, and Spirit During Early Motherhood
This retreat is specifically designed for mothers of young children and focuses on reducing stress, getting re-energized, and understanding the importance of staying connected to friends and family. If you want to connect with other moms or simply get away for some much needed relaxation, this is the retreat for you. Participants will have the option of receiving a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.
